New (legit) engine Illumina

Post by Guenther »

Thomas Mergener the author of (already tested by CCRL) Luna has publically opened his github repo for his successor chess engine Illumina.
It has a very small self trained NN (AFAIK using Marlinflow for training, see readme).

My rough guess of its strength lies between 2750-2850 (CCRL Blitz scale).

https://github.com/Mergener/illumina

I have uploaded an avx2 compilation at my usual download place.

I guess you have realized meanwhile that there is also an official release now, which includes a bugfix for a rare illegal move too?

No, I haven't. Thanks for the update.
