I guess you have realized meanwhile that there is also an official release now, which includes a bugfix for a rare illegal move too?

New (legit) engine Illumina
Thomas Mergener the author of (already tested by CCRL) Luna has publically opened his github repo for his successor chess engine Illumina. It has a very small self trained NN (AFAIK using Marlinflow for training, see readme). My rough guess of its strength lies between 2750-2850 (CCRL Blitz scale). ...

Re: New Engine: Izumi-chan
Sorry, didn't have time to respond. I'm not sure what files are necessary to run the engine, in the future i will figure out how to pack all the stuff together. About that allocation warning, don't worry about it, its there to help me reduce heap allocations. Doesn't affect engine's performance. If...

Re: New engine: Rengar
None of us have Macs. Chess is dominated by Windows and Linux machines, but potentially one of us may be able to compile for Windows (which is what all of us happen to use) I had no problems to compile a static default release binary (which is bmi2). If you, or anyone from CCRL want to try it, I ha...

It's a pity that Arena did not include the assumed illegal move in the pgn. At least the biggest part of the illegal moves seem to come from not being able to promote to a second Queen! (in a very quick position fen test on one of those positions from the pgn it just sent a1a1 as a move here on cmd)...

Is there any reason why the Cadie 1.4 download link was removed from CCRL? Hi all, I removed the new threading system and falls back to the exact same interface code I used in v0.2.2. https://github.com/SnowballSH/Avalanche/tree/8d2707d7ca178ef9d17c33c2286e913bc401adac/binaries I hope it fixes both the DLL issue and the timeout issue. Thanks! Sorry, but it still shows the...

Re: New Engine: Avalanche
Hi, I'm back after around 1.5 months of coding! Since v0.2.2, I felt the code is too messy and impractical, so I erased most files and started a rewrite from scratch. It is now released as v1.0.0! The release and information is here: https://github.com/SnowballSH/Avalanche/releases/tag/v1.0.0 The b...

I am testing version 2.1.1 in the hope that whatever change you make will have a new version number. It does not seem to be the case though, based on what Günther writes. I don't know why you came to this conclusion from my post? I have to add that your claim of 2000-2100 Elo range is quite mislead...
