Just joined today and I hope to be able to contribute in some way.
I have 89Gb of six man bases on my pc and am looking to increase that fiqure however, I will start with a quick question which is probably straight forward answer for you guys.
Why some bases do not have a nbw and a nbb file? I have noticed that these seem to be when black and white have same pieces ie kpp v kpp. Is it that somehow the tablebase is mirrored? and therefore is correct to have only one file sometimes.

Symmetric endgames ==> no .nbb files
Where the endgame is symmetric, there is no need for the usual btm .nbb files. Only .nbw files need be consulted. g
