I thought Wchess1.6 was the latest release of Dave Kittingers work (Wchess 2000 etc.).I´m already sure that it´s different from WJchess.
Or am I wrong?

WJChess and WChess have no relation between each other:

WChess was the PC effort from David Kittinger, the computer dedicated Novag programmer. WChess 1.6 was the DOS version from 1994 (engine in PowerChess 98). The latest version was WChess2000 (32 bits), that you can find it in Majestic Chess. It's supposed to be about 100 ELOs stronger (WChess 1.6 scores 2426 on CCRL 40/40). I'm trying to get Shredder 5.0 GUI because someone told me that WChess2000 can run under this GUI, so I could test it against other engines too.

thank you for the reply.I have Wchess("standalone") and Wchess 2000 for Chessgenius 6.5 -GUI . Unfortunately both aren´t able to run under Vista 64bit!If you have any idea or a version running under this system or in Fritz 7-GUI as a UCI-machine, please let me know!Thank you in advance!
