Interesting, is there an open source binding for it so engine others can use these? Grabbing now will take a better look at it tonight.

As I understand they are using an own format. So you first have either to generate the 5 and 6 men tablebases or to transform the Nalimov bases.
Generating all 3-2 tablebases without pawns takes around one day.

Hi All:
I'm Only Posting here to keep this thread alive, I see this EGT format as a hope (I hope more people are sharing the same view with me), I hope that engine programmers will incorporate this format in thier engines very soon (and share the rsults), and the last thing is that I hope the programmer of this RetroChess generator to listen to our remarks about his creation.
Best Regards,
P.S: I'll stop everything to generate the 5 men retro tables.

Anyone try this on any 7-man endings yet? krrnkrr would be interesting, it is 4 times smaller than a regular pawnless 7-man ending and should have DTM >= 290.

Before I start dedicating time into this specific project, I first want some open questions to be settled.
- under which licence will the files be released
- is the probing code available (otherwise it is not much use)
- some verification would be great (some 3 to 6 men)
- how dedicated is the author Skipper_NORTON, how long will it take to get certain bugs fixed
Furthermore I would rather support DTZ metic but thats a personal taste.
It's no good idea to start generation right away, don't consider these crucial facts and come across problems mid-way.
