eMule credit systems

Post by Kirill Kryukov »

Hi all. I am trying out eMule mod called Scar Angel 1.7. This mod is based on eMule Xtreme, and was suggested to me by Thomas.

Among ton of other features it has configurable credit system - you can choose one of 8! Namely: "Official Credit", "lovelace Credit", "Ratio Credit", "Pawcio Credit", "EastShare Credit", "Sivka Credit", "S.W.A.T. Credit", and "Xman Credit".

Does anyone know what those alternative credit systems are? (Or post links to English-language description). Thanks!

Hi Kirill,

I am quiet sure, that at -> http://www.filesharingweb.de/mediaWiki/ ... /Main_Page
they describe the different credit systems. However the site is (temporaly ?) offline.

But you can check your self. Check "Official Creditsystem" and go to the queue and sort the list by "Rating Points".

Change the credit system, wait 3 seconds and look what happened to the queue rankings in the queue. Amazing :-)

Some creditsystems punish Low ID more than others, the different creditsystems recompense uploading to you more or less. Interesting, what ideas the developers of the different mods had :-)

But there is one main point:
Every creditsystem you choose, will rate all your clients the same way. You can not choose, to rate one client with this creditsystem, and to rate the other client with that creditsystem. All creditsystems rate the clients fair, but with different goals.

Hi Thomas, yes I noticed that http://www.filesharingweb.de is down for the last few days. My idea was to read somewhere about all those credit systems instead of trying each and guessing. Please post if you will have any more information. :-)

You can read a discussion about the different credit systems at -> http://forum.emule-project.net/index.ph ... dit+system, but as this discussion is in the developer section, you must register first at http://forum.emule-project.net/index.php

I can not send a post to kirr-3. Please try to send a post to Pachnes-1 and Pachnes-2.
Regards,

Thomas

Post by Pachnes »

Hi Kirill,

the Wiki is online again, they moved the whole forum from a linux machine to a windwos serserver and are still making some config. For now you can access the Wiki with this link:

http://wiki.filesharingweb.de/index.php ... it_Systems

In a few days, they hope, they will have running the known old links again.
Regards,

Thomas

Thanks Thomas, just what I needed! (The site was down for some weeks that's why I asked here).

(In fact it probably does not matter much what credit system to use when I don't download).
