It's 500 Gb per square inch, not GB. Still very impressive! What they don't mention is access speed and number of reliable write cycles. For space alone I am already satisfied with current tech..

seriously, i personally think i will wait a little while after initial release on this one... at least until the initial flurry of bugs is over, but for those in a hurry... why not? i've read about this idea long ago already, and as long as they can manage the holographic interference, and as long as you don't physically shock the drive, it should be great even 1st generation... but that is just a matter of opinion ;>
