New engine: Oxidation

Post by Mathmagician »

Latest version: 0.6.0
Estimated strength: 2300 Blitz
Name: Mathmagician
Nationality: NZ
Oxidation is open source, licensed under GPL v3
Homepage: https://github.com/Mathmagician8191/Liberty-Chess
Download link: https://github.com/Mathmagician8191/Lib ... tag/v0.6.0

Oxidation is already being tested in the Amateur Series but since my forum account was finally approved I thought I'd post the information here as well.
(I assume this thread would also be a good place to put new releases)

I've released version 0.6.1, although I'll be making another release before the Amateur Series so this one may not be worth testing. It should be 80 Elo stronger than 0.6.0 at STC, possibly scaling better to LTC.

How strong your next release is will determine which division I put it in.

Looks increasingly likely that there will be a D10 and D11 that are likely to start early April.

No, my implementation for castling has the king always move 2 spaces, which is different to how FRC castling works.
The only lichess variant it can play is Horde, but the support for different board sizes is unique as far as I am aware (even the large boards version of fairy-stockfish is limited to 12x10 boards, but Oxidation supports up to 65536x65536).

I've released version 0.6.2, it will probably be the last release before the Amateur Series.

It is about 40 elo stronger than 0.6.1 at STC.
