Mida v1.1 released!

Post by Jack03 »

Good morning, I'm happy to announce that the new version of Mida chess engine is now released! You can find it here https://github.com/GiacomoPorpiglia/Mida . It would be appreciated if this version was now tested on the CCRL. I also notice that the previous version was only tested on blitz format. What do I have to do to have this new version tested possibly in every format? Thanks as always. :D

I played a 80-game match between versions 1.0 and 1.0, the difference was 50. So my guess is 2260.

All right, have to say I hoped for better, since I also played some games in Arena between the 2 versions and the result was 13-2 and 5 draws. Anyway, is it a problem using this new version on the CCRL or is it better if the versions have a bigger difference?

Once you get to 2400, I'll add it to my 40/15 testing queue.

You release whatever version you want, we pick whatever version we want. Don't worry, 80 games do not matter much, I played the match to have a rough estimate of strength, so that I can select appropriate opponents for my gauntlet. My guess, based on experience, was +30 but the difference might be bigger. We'll see, I'm going to start my tournament for CCRL in a couple of days.
