Wilhelm says: Error!

Post by Andreas Schwartmann »

I have downloaded a couple of nalimovs via Emule (and still am). After completing my set of 33p nalimovs, I have checked them with Wilhelm.

Strangely this program declares almost all of my downloaded 33p tablebases to be faulty.

I am not really keen on downloading all those files again. Can it be that Wilhelm might be incorrect?

How can I check if the files are alright?

Try md5sum.exe

Post by Pachnes »

Dowload the program md5sum.exe and copy it to c:\windows\system32. Download "all-33p.md5" from Kirills website. Copy "all-33p.md5" to the directory C:\temp.

Than go into the directory, where your files TB33p are.

md5sum -c C:\temp\all-33p.md5 > c:\temp\test_tb33p.txt

All lines (results) in c:\temp\test.txt must have "OK" or something like this:

kbbkbp.0.nbb.emd: FAILED open or read
kbbkbp.0.nbw.emd: FAILED open or read
kbbkbp.1.nbb.emd: FAILED open or read
.
.
.
.
These files could not be tested, because they did not exist already.

Thomas

I think, Wilhelm does tests of complete sets only. It can test the nbb-files of a whole set or the nbw-files of a whole set. It can not test single files of a set, when the other files of the set are not avaiable.

WILHELM's checking of files

Post by guyhaw »

WILHELM will not check a subset of .nbb files or a subset of .nbw files.
It will check all the files of a subset of n-man EGTs after 'n' is chosen. Just click on the relevant endgames and say 'Check' rather than 'Check all'.
WILHELM's rather curious "integer" presumably means 'integrity ok'.

"Integer (sein)" is the german adjectiv, adverb, verb, (sein = to be), stemmed (linguistic meaning) of the German noun "Integrität". This german word with latin origin means "Integrity". :-)

The mathematic meaning, you mention, comes from the inherent meanings like "pure", "fair", "unblemished", "not fractured", "immaculate"

"Integer vitae scerelisque purus."

md5sum says my files are okay.

I suppose Wilhelm would have done the same, if only I'd updated it before: I was using version 1.48. ;)

Going with 1.50 now.
