Dragontooth 0.2 "Bahamut" Release!

Post by dylhunn »

I'm pleased to announce the release of Dragontooth 0.2 "Bahamut"! Follow the link to see the list of new features, and for downloads. Dragontooth is, as far as I can tell, the first parallel chess engine written in Google Go. It also features a totally-modular design, so its "core" utility functions can be reused as libraries in other Google Go programs. Dragontooth is open source.

This is a rapid iteration on v0.1 which improves it significantly, although there is still much work to be done. My best guess regarding its current strength is 1800-1900, although I don't really know (no version has been tested yet).

Thanks to the testers for helping to make this a fun hobby!
