March of the Minnows

Engine Selection

Engines that don't get a lot of fanfare, but
deserve the chance to be tested by CCRL.
I must admit that without the valued help
of Graham, this tournament would never
have come to fruition. Hope you enjoy.
Anechka 0.08 and Queen 3.09 are participating in the 2nd CCRL Amateur Championship Division 2 and are being used as a benchmark for a comparison in strength with these new engines.

The top four engines in this tournament will join Queen 3.09 and Anechka 0.08 in next season's Division 3 tournament.

Due to our decision to introduce updates of engines during the Amateur Championship tournaments, we are restructuring into three divisions of 16 engines in order to keep things moving along more quickly.

Intel Pentium 4
Single Processor- 2.8ghz
128mb hash
3 & 4 man tablebases
Ponder & Learning = OFF
Perfect 9.ctg book for all (with 12 move CCRL limit)
40 moves in 62 minutes repeating (adapted to CCRL 40/40)
RR = 2 cycles
All engines = 32 bit
