newbie questions

Post by Marco Pollo »

Hello,

I'm just becoming familiar with the CCRL website. There seems to be quite a lot of information to explore and various ways to look at it.

One thing I don't understand...

When I click the "HOME" link
http://www.computerchess.org.uk/ccrl/
it returns:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /ccrl/ on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I also wonder about the origins of all those many engines. For example, so far I haven't been able to find the Loop's engine website or source.

Welcome to the website and forum.

Whilst Kirill is probably the one to answer technical questions about website access, I can answer questions about most engines.

Loop 10.32f is a commercial engine from the List author Fritz Reul.
The website where you can get more information about it or buy it is here:

Graham.
