Re: New engines?
Still sounds a bit too buggy to be honest.
Re: New engines?
There's certainly no pattern that I can see; it's not like Powder, that consistently crashes when an opponent uses en passant. Personally, I don't see any reason to try to "accommodate" an engine that is buggy like this. Hopefully the author is working on it...
Final calculated ELOstat was around 2125 but I would have expected closer to 1750 with its WLD record.

Thanks. I appreciate the time that you spent taking a look at Conqueror.
Cheers,

Re: New engines?
If you could give me a rough idea of how stable and strong Adachess 2.0 is, I'd be most appreciative.

Re: New engines?
I was never able to get Porucznik or Darmenios to work on my computers.

Re: New engines?
I agree, I just checked Lieutenant, Darmenios and IIchess right now under Arena 3.5.1 and they all are problematic engines:Graham Banks wrote:I was never able to get Porucznik or Darmenios to work on my computers.
- Iichess doesn't work at all - it just doesn't do any moves, it's completely broken
- Lieutenant and Darmenios don't work with Arena Book ABK files (Lieutenant seems to work but crashes soon after several moves) nor with Arena Tournament's openings (EPD or PGN files), they only work in a single game mode as pure engines, therefore they are useless for torunaments testing.
- as for Excelsior I have been unable to find the binary in internet
Switching between UCI/ WB1/WB2 protocols didn't help.
Pity that all the engines are so buggy
