40/120 FRC match in memory of the inventor, Bobby Fischer

Post by Ray »

In memory of Bobby Fischer, one of the best players of all time, and the inventor of the fantastic Fischer Random Chess variation, I'm running a special match between the two strongest commercially available FRC engines as follows:

Q6600 at 3.0GHz
40/120 + 20/60 + 60'
Quad Shredder 11 x64 vs Quad Hiarcs 11.2
30 games (15 x randomly selected openings with switched sides)
1024MB hash

Should be some nice games there. I expect Shredder will win the match. Hiarcs 12 would be a different story of course, if it was released yet.

The match finished as a 19.5 - 10.5 victory for Shredder

I notice one 10 move draw amongst it !! I guess it's no difference from a 20 move draw in normal chess with a 10 move generic book....
