3-4-5

Post by jshriver »

Re-sharing the 3-4-5 men set on my website, and allows anonymous ftp instructions at
http://www.olympuschess.com/tb/

Note:
You can also get these via my anonymous ftp
Username: anonymous@iamaham.org Site: ftp.iamaham.org (no password)
Note: Username does include the @iamaham.org

Going to try and put some 6men up again as well. Looks like that portion of my site has been down for a while now and didn't realize it as the index was linking to Dr Hyatts site. Was a mess up on my attempt to mirror it that I never went back and corrected till now.

All 3-4-5 are there 7.1gigs, with md5sums and md5sum verified on the server.

I put 3-4-5 from http://www.olympuschess.com/tb/ at http://www.teo.se/345/ as I download it.
I think my connection has more available bandwidth.

Looks like you mirrored it when I was getting the 6men too, hense the tablebase.sesse.net/ folder :)

Mirrors are always useful. Dr. Hyatts site has been quick and reliable for longer than I've been into chess, but always nice to keep the data spread out.

BTW for the 3+3 files you have, I'd md5sum check them. Chances are the last file is incomplete/corrupt because you grabbed it while I was still downloading it. That way if people try to get it from you they don't get a bad file.

Ok, I have removed the tablebase.sesse.net folder to avoid confusion.

Code: Select all

$ du -h tablebase.sesse.net/
48G	tablebase.sesse.net/3+3
48G	tablebase.sesse.net/
