Downloading Scorpio bitbases

Post by ZeroOne »

I have found the WBEC Ridderkerk Scorpio page that has two links to MomUPLoad.com. Whenever I try to download the bitbases from MomUPLoad.com, I only get some two to twenty megabytes of data before the download ends for no apparent reason. Can anyone download the bitbases? I also found some other link to the same bitbases somewhere but it didn't work at all. I cannot seem to find them from eMule either. Where and how do I download the Scorpio bitbases? According to Superchessengines.com they are the ones that Toga II uses.

Good question. If they are not available from WBEC anymore then I guess we can start sharing them on eMule as well. Fortunately they are far smaller than 6-men Nalimov. :D I have them so I'll share them and post the link here (and at EGTB Online project page).

Done! Now I am sharing Scorpio bitbases with PowerRelease priority. News and links are posted at the project page.

Excellent, thanks for the quick reply and action, Kirill! I already downloaded the archive with the 3 and 4-men bitbases and I'm currently downloading the 5-man archive. Meanwhile I uploaded the Scorpio-bitbases-3-4-men.zip into my personal web space. The MD5 sum is 57a10d31dcb9085ab968b47957b7e6e1, the same as in your original release. I also uploaded the egbbdll.dll (MD5 sum fababe100334e19a38cfc13fca5a3bd2) which you did not include in the released archive.

Nice! About egbbdll.dll - is it still available from WBEC? If not then I guess I will share it and add the link too. Also, do you want me to mention your mirror on the EGTB Online page?

Yes, the dll is available from WBEC and so are the 3 and 4 men bitbases (as a rar-file), so right now my mirror is rather useless, unless there is a way to add a http-source into the eMule link? I'll let you know if I ever get any space for larger files. Btw, I moved the tablebase stuff under the TB/ directory now.

No, there is no such way. BTW, did you stop downloading 5-men Scorpio bitbases?

I'll load up emule tonight, unless someone minds sending them directly. I'll host the bitbases on my website. Going to queue up a 6men set as well.

Something looks fishy :

33e302e181804f085dbe07fe763edc59 *krrnk.w.cmp
33e302e181804f085dbe07fe763edc59 *krrrk.w.cmp

??????

By the way, Kirill, can you post a "simple and to the point"" answer to my thread
"5-1 EGTB Status. What is needed to make them useable? "
I must say I didn't quite understand the other answers... :?

White always wins so the files are probably identical.

Bitbases 3-4-5 on http

Post by jshriver »

I have the 3-4-5 bitbases available for download on my site. Since they're small it should be a permanent link.

http://www.olympuschess.com/bitbases/

I have md5sum checked them again and they're good.

Enjoy!
