Hi Josh! Good luck with a new program! I like Wilhelm too. It is especially good for finding studies through its UMS algorithm. To be more powerful (for study mining) Wilhelm needs: 1) 'Tree UMS' - to show not only one of longest lines, but all of UMS lines possible, 2) 'Advanced UMS' for wins - to...

Does the list on your page also contain the new 16 sets? Thanks for the reply :) grabbing them now had forgotten about the links. Will cat them together and if need be add the missing 16 later. -Josh Yes, they contain MD5 for all last 16 sets. Always welcome. :-) Thanks! I started working on my own...

Re: Uploading KQPKRB

Hi Josh, Just doing a follow up with you as to how you made out in looking into possibly generating the 5-1 egtb's?? I know some time ago you were mentioning that if Eugenes code could be used you might give it a try. My thoughts are that most of them should converge fairly quickly. Just curious, L...

Anyone able to connect to CCC? I haven't been able to get in for about a day now. Keep getting SQL error messages.

Uploading KQPKRB

Adding new files to my website now that things have settled a bit and the data has been verified. It should take about 24 hours to upload the new set.

Is there a specific set that seems most popular right now?

Again I'm hoping to create a similiar program using Qt so it can run under Linux, BSD's, and Windows... that way such a wonderful utility i...

Re: The critical path ...

Josh - I don't think you are on the critical path now. As Marc B has said, the best 'green light' to restart the promulgation of Nalimov-original or FEG-derived EN DTM EGTs for the 'last 16 endgames' is when someone confirms that the MD5sum data for the Nalimov-original files is identical to the MD...

Short vacation.

Greetings everyone, I have the data on my hard drive and going to let it crunch while I'm out of town. I have 2 days off in a row, so driving back home to visit my family that are 6-7 hours away, I haven't seen them since Jan. Last chance I'll get since I go back to school in a week and work full ti...

Ironic yet wonderful.

It seems after everything going on.. Mr Nalimov himself has released the missing egtbs. Mr. Hernandez has received them, so now begins an interesting anaylsis. I'm working with him now to see if there are any differences. I'm crossing my fingers, hoping, and praying that they are the same for the sa...

Re: techgeared.com not working?

Hi Matt, at present the links on techgeared.com seem not to be working: when I call one of them, it just returns the webpage itself. When will the files be up again? Many thanks for helping to distribute tablebase files! Cordial greetings, Martin Kreuzer I'm queueing up kqpkrb which seems to be a h...

Re: 5-1 generation.

Hi Josh, Just taking a moment to thank you for giving the 5-1 egtb's a go. I realize it doesnt hold much benefit from a engines point of view but it does hold a great deal of interest in my ongoing study of egtb's. Wishing you luck to resolve your problems and looking forward to you or anyone else ...

5-1 generation.

I was generating a 5-1 set using the feg.exe generator. It seems there was a problem w/ wine and after letting it burn away cpu time for 3 days it crashed. Though the file at the time was about 3gigs. Going to try this again on a windows box I built for chess. It's an old P500, but I can just leave ...

Some file are up

For those w/ the address go ahead and start downloading. Just disregard the last file in the list since the last file is the one I'm still uploading. But you can at least start grabbing files already up :)

Please run against md5 and let me know if they are ok.

The best way I think would be to first copy the files to those who will certainly share on network. So far Lutz Nebe, kp1089 and I volanteered to help with the initial distribution.
I'm uploading to the server now. :)

Just recieved missing 16 egtb's :)

J just received the HD in the mail, hooking it up now and going to run md5sum against it to make sure everything is fine after shipping.

After that's done I'll start uploading them to my server, and post the URL to the files.

Thanks Marc.
