Re: Why not 8CPUs vs RTX2080
The reason is that only one tester has the RTX2080, and that sits in a 4 core machine. So it has been impossible. However I understand that tester is putting together a new machine that will have at least 8 cores, so I think this will happen in the next few weeks.

No they are not available from the website, 99.99% of people would not be interested. However they could be supplied on request. There are two options: - 5000+ text files which are daily ratings lists from 2006 to now containing all engines or - files for each individual engine showing daily ratings...

The processing scripts actually calculate the rating by day. They need to do that for the graphs that you see for each engine. I'm sure you've seen those - click on an engine and scroll down.

Yes, close the GUI, re-start it and edit the engine and re-save the parameters seems to work. If not, manually edit the GUI engine config file.

However I edited the engine parameters again and saved them down, that config file has corrected itself, and now it is using 4 threads. You could also manually edit that file (but best not to call up the UCI parameters via the GUI after that).
On my Octal: (50% is 4 of 8 threads)

Re: CCRL 40/15 Testing Conditions (previously 40/40)
It seems to be a ChessGUI bug though. ChessGUI sends the threds=1 command to the engine, and this is why:
The config file says this:
[Amoeba 3.1 64-bit 4CPU]
Affinity=0:0
Hash=512
Threads=1
MultiPV=1
Log=false
UCI_AnalyseMode=false
Even though the UCI paremeters popup is this:

I tried it here with ChessGUI - and yes only uses 1 thread with amoeba-win64.exeGraham Banks wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 10:28 pm
Have you tried to run Amoeba 3.1 with 4 cores using ChessGUI, which is what I use for all of my testing?
You set threads to 4, but it still only uses 1.

Re: Can I add engine to CCRL?
I may not be understanding correctly, but if the engine exe or supporting files contain hundreds of positions with pre-programmed moves for those positions, where the engine moves instantly, then it doesn't meet our rules for testing. Additional clarification is needed. If it is another NN engine li...

New users have to have their first couple of posts approved, and they have to be in the Public forum first it seems. After that it should be fine. That is what we've experienced in the past.

There is an option in our scripts to offer downloads by month. We haven't used it for a long time. You can't use it to incrementally update a previous download of our database and that is where people got confused before. Sometimes engines are re-named, sometimes they are killed, and sometimes they ...
