Re: re 5-1 EGTB statistics
Th ese results are quite reasonable, especially if there were many like pieces in the ending, as FEG does not implement permutation symmetry until the final compression stage. -Marc The egtb I had generated was knnnnk. Thanks for clearing up the size problem for me. Once things settle a bit I'll pu...

Re: re 5-1 EGTB statistics
Greetings, FEG.exe did complete a 5-1 egtb successfully.. or *I guess successfully* However it seems odd. When I had checked the status.. the temp directory had over 1.6gigs of data for the current egtb. Once it finished, cleared the temp data... the resulting 5-1 egtb was less than 100 megs. Think ...

Currently uploading kbpknp
I see from the logs that bandwith has died down a lot the past couple days so it's time to put a new fresh set online. Currently uploading kbpknp. As usual ignore the last file in the list, as that's the one I'm currently uploading. On a fun note, my server has served 1899585095 bytes of data to peo...

Taking a hiatus from computer chess.
Greetings everyone, I'm going to take a couple months break from computer chess. I'm now working a full time job, part time job and 2 contract jobs while also attending college. While I can manage my time, it's leaving little time off for hobbies. I'm still going to work on the file integrity progra...

KQQQQK
I generated KQK, KQQK, KQQQK, and in the process of generating KQQQQK *crossing fingers* if it doesnt crash I'll share the egtb. One thing I noticed that might be a problem, it's creating a lot of small files. Last count was over 12k files. So wondering if it's crashing because it's hitting the max ...

Will you still upload further endgames ? Always... once I see the bandwidth drop a decent amount.. datacomp
Anyone know where I can find datacomp.exe? Better yet source code or a linux executable, though the .exe would suffice. I had it a while ago, but recently had to rebuild my system and lost it.

emule sha specs
Anyone know what form of sha emule uses for data integrity?
I'm working on my verification program, implemented md5sum checks, and wanted to move on to sha. Since emule uses sha, it would make gathering the shasums for all the files easier
Thanks for your time

Re: I suggest KQPKBP as next set :-)
Hi Josh, you will finish uploading KQPKRN soon. Could KQPKBP be the next set you provide? It is a set with few Clients, who do share it. Would it generally be possible for you, to upload some very rare files (not full sets!) out of TB42p ? For a few files from TB42p Dan still is the only source ava...

Hi Josh, I was just wondering if you have looked in your closet <s> to see how the generation of the 5-1 egtb's were doing. I was also wondering if anyone had supllied you with the info you mentioned you needed to get the generation going? Thanks, Les Good Morning, *stretch* I put that on the backb...

Re: OT: Official Emule shuts down, how does it relate to us?
Hi Josh, we are not affected of this case. eDonkey, not eMule has been shut down. The eDonkey Software was a client software, which did vanish from our client computers during the last 2 years, because there was better software, developed under OS Licence. eDonkey Servers have not used the eDonkey ...

OT: Official Emule shuts down, how does it relate to us?
I read on slashdot about emule closing shop and paying the RIAA 30million US rather than go to court over possible copyright infringment. Will this effect us? It seems emule is really serverless so in a way emule is just a client from what I've seen, and there are alternative open source clients lik...

So it looks as I was just a bit too greedy, now it is ok. The other completed files, wtm 0-a and btm 0-b, are all fine. Thanks! No problem. I just finished the krpkbp set and starting to upload kqpkrn. Here is the file info for this set: 943968 kqpkrn.0.nbb.emd 835072 kqpkrn.0.nbw.emd 929632 kqpkrn...

Hi Josh First of all, thank you for offering the files for download. Thanks. regards Rafael B. Andrist Till the upload ...

Re: Olympus egtb updates.
Hi Josh, thank you for supporting us with your webserver. Could kqpkrn be the next set? It is a set with big files and has a small number of known clients in eMule. Thank you again. Sure thing, I'll start uploading them as soon as I get down with krpkbp. My hosting company just doubled my storage c...

I have about 1 TB of tablebases now. I'll be glad to help, if your tests are not too heavy. If they can complete in 1 or 2 days, it should be OK. Seeking help from full dataset.
Within the next month, aiming for mid to late October I want to do some egtb tests. However I lack the complete 6men egtb set. Does anyone here have the complete set and be willing to let me run a couple tests? I prefer linux, but can try and build a windows binary to do the tests. If interested, pl...

As a side idea.. Have you considered possibility of making a web-site for EGTB analysis? I mean server-side program that will not only query the given position, but perform some search using an engine. I thought of doing something like that a year or so ago, but due to the large size of the 3-6men ...
