Yes, 7-men is very interesting and I'm thrilled to imagine the complete 7-men set. Well, now we are struggling to share all 6-men files online, and I think it will still take some time, may be one or two years.. We are have good progress, but from now the remaining bases will be more hard to find. I...

I agree, and I can only add that everyone releasing new files should check md5 first. All files that I share are checked. One problem is that we don't have all original md5sum information, but someday we will fix it. I've certainly had a file fail this MD5sum-check after downloading: I think it was ...

Very interesting, thanks, Peter. So, now we already have four different lists to help choosing download order. :-) I was thinking to have similar statistics, but constructed starting at 7-men positions, one capture before convertion into 6-men endgame. This is because engines can use tablebases duri...

Hi TrondSvane,
You can try aMule. It is a cross-platform variant of eMule, which has Mac OS X port too.

Damaged Files Alert
Hi all, In this thread, following Dan's idea, we will post warnings about damaged files found on eMule search. It's easy to see them - damaged file has same name and size with normal file, but different hash. Corrupted files usually have just one source, while the correct file should have more. The ...

Hi Cato, thanks for the list, I'm sure it will be helpful to many people. I myself am aiming for the whole 1.2 TB, but still checking this list may be good to decide the order.
For completeness, here is one more list of endgame frequencies.

Re: Why can't we be friends?
If you want to help download speeds for tablebases then BY ALL MEANS get the frigging (sorry) flyfishing videos OFF your shared folders! Oh man, the idea that casting a line into a pond can compare with computer chess... :-) Well, I don't give a crap about fishing, but if someone likes it it's alri...
