I personally think this is very good - the 42P set is by far the hardest to get a hold of. More copies out there of it would be a big help.

I am working to get the set from my server to my computer at home. I'm off of eMule at the moment, but the FTP site is up still.

Count me into the 'finished club'. Been done for a few days, but so busy with moving haven't had a chance to post. HUGE thanks go to jkominek for such a large amount of uploads to me. Everyone else that uploaded over the FTP site, or gave me any amount of data over eMule, I wanted to say 'thanks' to...

4.25GB to go... I'm getting anxious :)

Will want to reverify everything once more, but everything I have at this point has been checked at least twice. Hopefully not have to redownload anything at all :)

9.82GB to go for my complete set. :)

Any friend slots if I'm on your queue is much appreciated. Especially for these last 12 hard to get 42P files - the 9 42 files I still have will finish easily enough anyhow.

FANTASTIC! :)

I've always had a preoccupation with the computer chess. Not to mention internet connections (fast ones), and seeing a mate in 87 in one of my games back 6-7 years ago was pretty slick. In short, I'm impressed with the project here, and I thought it worthwhile to get a few more sets thrown around. I...

As a status update for the server: 33 set - Completed / Verified 33P set - Completed / Verified 42 set - 85GB Completed / Verified 42P set - 237GB Completed / Verified The 42 set I have the remaining files downloading on eMule, 17GB left to go. Will add in files as they finish off from there. The 42...

I started the last 32 files I need for the 42 set on eMule. You are welcome as always to grab them from me as I finish them up. 26GB of these files left to download including what I have partially complete on eMule. Otherwise, my 33/33P sets are complete and verified. The 42P sets I have 3GB left to...

I believe you're using filezilla server, you can easily go into settings and change to another port besides 21. If you meant suggestions as far as what to fill your server with - I don't have much of any idea. What chess materials are available otherwise that you don't have? I can't think of too muc...

Very much agreed, few days late on the response though from my end.

I plan to share just the pawnful databases over eMule, but still allow the pawnless ones to be downloaded from me via FTP. I think it is the best choice all around for people with these complete sets.

I reverified all completed files with MD5. If anyone gets a bad copy of a file from the FTP site, please try to redownload once more. If it is still not right, please send me a PM so that I can recheck it in a case by case way. I put the last 13 remaining '33' files on high priority in eMule so hope...

And btw to pachnes - the friend upload slot is much appreciated as I shart to hit the "not so well charted lands" of the downloads here. Tonight I notice many of the regulars gone - uploading 'only' 800kb/sec, I'm sure some are enjoying the 70k/sec+ though :) Also I think for the same reas...

At the moment at 220kb/sec down, so still looking OK for now. I assume you mean the last 200GB of files? (Not 200MB?)

Just starting to watch people I'm uploading to hit "no needed parts" as far as the download column goes in known clients.

Well, ran a little test here. I downloaded kbnkq.nbw.emd. Uncompressed it with datacomp. Took the uncompressed filed into 2 directories. Then recompressed it, one with 10000 block size, and one with 8192 block size. Both ones reproduce the EXACT same file, with the MD5 matching right up on both. Tri...

Did the same with the last few 33P files that I didn't have - so that section of my 6-man tablebases are completed now. Now just 285GB to go until I have the rest of the tablebases completed. I'm wondering how much my connection speed will drop towards the end, many of these files I'm seeing only ha...

I had a lot of problems like that at my last place - it was mostly due to the signal strength being so junky most of the time. I got cut off one time, and 6AM an investigator at my home asking me about my cable modem being stolen. Long story short, I bought a cable modem in 2004. I had it registered...

I'm thinking it does automatically reconnect, because I will see PAKman on eMule, but the FTP site does will not be up. In other words its the FTP software that is causing the problem by not restarting. But don't let me tell you with certainty :) My cable modem if it does lose connection here at hom...

Updated it to 15KB/sec per connection (Still only one allowed per IP). I think it is still helpful, especially if you have a partial file downloaded from another FTP site and can't finish it there to someone else getting 'your' spot with the connection limits that are allowed. If you don't see me on...

Got a little curious of my overall uploads. Calculate it at 3477GB of data gone out from me, a little more than 3 sets :) ROCK ON! :)

And I don't even have a complete set myself yet LOL. Just hit less than 300GB to go tonight.

Pretty lame @ the ISP shutting you down daily - especially if its in the middle of you sleeping or doing other things than working on the computer. There has to be some automated way of restarting the FTP server when it goes down. I just don't know how, maybe someone else here would have an idea abo...

By the way, great idea on the upload account. I've wanted to throw a few files your way and haven't been able to. :) I think its great each set that gets completed, even if someone is downloading 50KB/sec from everyone, that is 50k/sec more that will be out there and distributed to everyone else at ...

I got the few 33/33P (26 files) I needed added into eMule - no worries on any uploads at all. :)

Curious to get the rest of the files added into eMule to watch the countdown to the complete set going down ever day :)
