Re: New Engine: Izumi-chan

You can find self-contained and trimmed versions of the binaries for the most common OS and architectures here.
The command to achieve that can be found in this GH action config file (Tomasz, feel free to grab the file yourself, or let me know if you prefer me to create a PR with it).

Re: New engine: Lynx

I've just released Lynx 0.6.0 , a more 'mature' version of the engine. 0.4.0 has a 39% (!) draw percentage in its CCRL games and I noticed that no further 0.5.x versions have been CCRL tested. Since v0.5.0 Lynx takes into account threefold repetition and 50 moves rule, which should help Lynx convert...

Re: New engine: Lynx

Sure, please go ahead with 0.4.0, the only difference is the response to uci command.

Re: New engine: Lynx

Thanks a lot, this is the kind of 'early' feedback I was looking for.

Re: New engine: Lynx

EDIT: Upon installing I see it is 31 MB in size, is that because of include .NET? That's right, it's a self contained app. The executable could be as small as 3.75KB, but it would require you to have the right (and optimal) runtime installed. Why is that long string in the name? It's a commit hash,...

Re: New engine: Lynx

Thanks Gabor. My rough and notably uninformed estimation of Lynx's current strength is ~1250, based on some 2+1 blitz games: It has no problem defeating Monchester 1.0, Alouette 0.1.4, Megalodon 1.0.0, and MinimalChess v0.2 It gets some points against MinimalChess v0.3 It has a (losing) score of 51½...

New engine: Lynx

Hi all, I've been working intermittently on Lynx , my very first chess engine, for the last few months. It's an open source , UCI compatible chess engine. I keep it 'constantly' playing on Lichess , but I would to love see it in CCRL lists as well (even if it's at the bottom of them for now ). ...
