Request for deltas
It would be nice for my data processing if you could make non-merged delta files available (like CEGT has). In order to incorporate the data, I have to do diff files with gigabytes and a lot of different tedious steps. You would not have to keep them forever, just the delta for each new release of d...

Re: Using the retro chess .dll in a c++ program
The DLL only comes in 32 bits.
So nobody is going to develop for that.

The result for Houdini 4 Tactical 64-bit 4CPU is interesting
Not enough games for statistical significance. So I hope that more games are run.
Normally, the "tactical" versions of programs play quite a bit weaker.

Re: Sergey Yankovich's tablebase files
A Berkeley style license would definitely help the popularity of the project. Very little is known about this generator so far. It would be nice if someone verified one 6 men by comparing with the Nalimov equivalent. I have a friend who is going to compare several of the statistics files to see if ...

Re: Generator of 3-4-5-6-7-chessman tablebases. Version 4.
These files were created on a computer that was also busy doing other things (his program is SMP and it seems to have something equivalent to the Unix nice command since it yields when I have other apps needing resources): What CPU and how many cores? -----------------------------------------------...

Re: the whole 6 man set
I am currently downloading the whole six man set. What type of advantage will I have when playing engine vs engine matches. Edit: will it slow me down in 1/0 games?? and will it be more useful in long games? The only advantage the 6 man set will give you in engine engine matches is that it will pla...

Re: Generator of 3-4-5-6-7-chessman tablebases. Version 4.
Here is some timing information for tablebase creation (if you notice that I am doing a strange pattern of creation, it is because I have a friend who wants the stats files for the bare king tablebase files). These files were created on a computer that was also busy doing other things (his program i...

Sergey Yankovich's tablebase files
I have exchanged email recently with Sergey Yankovich (author of this tablebase generator): http://generatorchess.com/ Apparently, he intends to apply a Berkeley style license to the tablebase generator. He also intends to release the probing code and possibly even the generator code. Perhaps a coor...

Does anyone have the 7 man files for these 2 pos?

They are Valentin Abillo positions.
I have bad scores from my analysis, but a 7 man file would "answer the question with finality"
Unfortunately, since they have pawns, I doubt if anyone has computed the files.
